Valmorel Le Grand Domaine > Our CSR Commitments
At Valmorel, we believe you can enjoy winter sports and respect the environment. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is our way of taking concrete action to limit our environmental and social impact. As a ski resort, we have a particular responsibility: preserving the beauty and health of our mountains so that future generations can enjoy them too.
It’s a major challenge, but we are fully committed to making meaningful changes to protect the future of our mountains and our planet.
We play with open cards. We’ve already achieved a lot, but there’s still a long way to go…
Climate change is real. Our mountains — and the activities that rely on them — are directly affected. As a ski area, we must take action to minimize our impact and help build a more sustainable tourism model.
In collaboration with DSF, we have adopted 16 eco-commitments as part of a collective, responsible approach to protecting mountain landscapes.
At Valmorel, we’ve made this challenge a priority by developing a CSR strategy built on measurable, transparent actions tailored to today’s environmental issues.
Note: Domaines Skiables de France (DSF) is the national professional association representing ski area operators in France.
Before committing, we need to understand. That’s why measuring our environmental impact is essential: it allows us to clearly identify our greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), set realistic targets, and track our progress over time. This transparent approach is the foundation of our concrete actions.

The Valmorel Ski Area carbon footprint
To act effectively on our CO2-eq emissions, we calculated our full carbon footprint (Scopes 1, 2, and 3).

Because change can only happen collectively, we engage and support everyone involved in the ski area — teams, partners and visitors — toward a more responsible mountain experience.
Every action we take — and every gesture you make — helps protect our mountains for generations to come.
We know there is still a lot to do, but we’re moving forward every day toward a future that respects the environment. We invite you to join this collective effort: it can only succeed if we do it together.
Together, we can make a difference, so that tomorrow, these mountains continue to inspire awe.
