2- Control your speed and behavior:
Always adapt your speed and skiing style to:
3- Choice of route for the uphill skier:
Skiers coming from above must choose a line that does not endanger those below them.
4- Overtaking:
You may overtake from above or below, on the left or the right—but always leave enough space to avoid surprising or colliding with the skier you are passing.
5- Entering or starting on a slope:
Before joining a slope or setting off, always look both uphill and downhill to make sure it is safe.
6- Stopping on the slopes:
Do not stop in narrow places or where you are not visible. If you fall, move aside quickly as possible to clear the slope.
7- Walking up or down a slope:
If you must walk up or down a slope, always keep to the edge.
8- Respect signs and markings:
Always follow on-site information:
Markers and signs are there for your safety—respect them!
9- Offer assistance:
If you are involved in or witness an accident, you are obliged to help. At the very least, alert ski patrol. And if asked by rescuers, be ready to assist.
10- Identify yourself:
Whether you are a witness or directly involved in an incident, you must give your name and contact details to the ski patrol and to anyone concerned.
