In case of an accident on the slopes

Secure the area

In the event of an accident, preventing further incidents is the top priority. Alert other skiers to the presence of the injured person right away—especially if the accident happened in a low-visibility area (behind a bump, in a forest, or after a curve…).

Alert the Ski Patrol

Call the emergency number printed on your skipass as soon as possible.
You’ll be connected with the slope service dispatchers, who will coordinate the rescue.

When calling, be as specific as you can and provide:

• the location of the accident: slope name, number of the nearest marker, or an estimated location if off-piste,
• the number of people injured,
• the condition of the victim(s).

This information helps Valmorel’s ski patrol reach the scene quickly with the right equipment.

If you don’t have a phone or signal

If you're unable to call for help:

• Ask another skier to ski down to the base of the nearest lift and alert a staff member—make sure they have the most accurate information possible.
• Call 112. This number is available 24/7, even with no network coverage. All calls are free and geolocated.
