A unique souvenir photo:
Strike a pose in the brand-new Planchamp gondola! But hurry — the ride only lasts 4 minutes to reach the top!
Did you know?
From Valmorel, you can reach the legendary Col de la Madeleine from the Tour de France, without pedaling — just ski there!
At the top, head right towards Biollène chairlift via Combe de Beaudin.
Prefer peaceful forest strolls?
On foot, snowshoes, or skis — from the top of Combelouvière chairlift, head through the pine forest to the charming village of Doucy.
One of our favorite spots to capture your stay in Valmorel:
From the top of Lanchettes chairlift or Gelaz draglift, take the ridge trail toward Doucy, overlooking Valmorel and the Lanchettes slope. From here, enjoy a panoramic view of the resort, dominated by the iconic Niélard mountain.
What do you see in the shape of the rock — a dog’s head or the face of Christ?
Marvel at the most stunning peaks of the Vanoise and of course, Mont Blanc! Head to the Col du Mottet at 2400m, accessible via the 6-seater Mottet chairlift. Reserved for experienced skiers (only red and black slopes), but accessible to pedestrians using Pierrafort gondola and the Mottet chairlift.
Ask the ski patrol at the summit for a detailed view of the surrounding peaks 😀
For fans of “French Fried Vacation” (Les Bronzés font du ski), head to a photo spot “made in Valmorel”: at the top of the Morel and Biollène chairlifts, on the Arenouillaz plateau, get an original shot with the majestic Lauzière range in the background!
