Departure from Valmorel – hamlet of Crève-cœur (accessible via the Télébourg or Skibus shuttles), near the Pierrafort gondola.
After exiting the gondola, put on your skis and head down the Oratoire slope to the left, towards the Morel chairlift.
At the top, a "photo stop" is a must on the old red 2-seater chairlift – perfect framing guaranteed with the protected Lauzière mountain range in the background.
Then follow the first part of the Arenouillaz slope, before turning left towards Mucillon (just before the Roset chairlift).
Take the Madeleine chairlift, and at the top, enjoy an amazing 360° view! From the Maurienne valley and the Écrins range to Mont-Blanc behind you. Cross into the St François domain via Frêne then Longchamp slopes.
Ski through St François to reach the Marquis chairlift near the hamlet.
At the top of Marquis, we suggest an optional run on Rimolard, often quiet and truly worth it.
To return to the other side, turn left at the top of the Marquis chairlift and follow Emeraude slope (a green one, just like the name!), then take the Soleil Rouge chairlift, with its black and red seats!
In this area, take Shogun then Bartavelle and Route des fermes to reach the Frêne chairlift.
From there (not recommended for snowboarders!), we suggest heading to the famous Col de la Madeleine via the blue Col slope.
If it's lunchtime, no hesitation – grab a spot on one of the restaurant terraces: on one side Les 2 Mazots, on the other La Banquise, the historic building of this popular crossing point!
After a good local meal, it’s time to head back to Valmorel! Take Retour du col slope then the beautiful Madeleine slope, leading straight to the base of the Madeleine chairlift.
At the top of the Madeleine chairlift, turn right and take the scenic Grande Combe slope.
After this great run, veer right to reach the Valette and Sources draglifts.
From there, take the Arenouillaz slope followed by Les Traverses, reaching the opposite end of the area at Pierrafort sector.
At the top of the gondola, first take Les Lanches then follow the Pirates’ Trail.
Return to Valmorel via the hamlets of Mottet – Crève-cœur to reach your starting point near the base of the Pierrafort gondola.
