Valmorel’s soft start for new skiers

 

Experience your first sliding sensations on terrain suited to your level.

To get a soft start for new skiers, take the Planchamp gondola.

Step 2

At the top, discover the new Beaudin beginners’ area: a 160m magic carpet, reserved, designed and adapted for your first steps on skis.

Go down a gentle slope and come back up quickly and easily thanks to the Beaudin carpet.

After several descents (hopefully without many falls), you have two options:
– You can take the Planchamp gondola back down (if so, go straight to stage 7)
– Or you can ski back down to Valmorel

Head for the Biollène chairlift. At the bottom of the Beaudin magic carpet, turn right onto the Combe de Beaudin. This is a wide, accessible blue slope is ideal for beginners. You’re now at the bottom of the Biollène chairlift.

At the top of the chairlift, turn left onto Combe de Beaudin. Before the Pirates Snowpark, turn right onto the new Chemin des Cascades slope. This slope is perfectfor beginners who want to ski back down to the village of Valmorel. With a breathtaking view of Niélard and Crève-tête, get a taste of the freedom that skiing affords.

Continue along the Plan du Favre to the get up with the Pierrafort gondola. Climb into the gondolas for the rest of the adventure.

At the top of the Pierrafort gondola, head for the Malatrai beginners’ area. A magic carpet and a drag lift with roll-up poles will enable you to perfect your technique and even learn some new ones!

After a series of turns in this area, it’s time to head back to the resort. Take the Pirates’ Slope, a fun slope accessible to all. But beware, giant creatures lie in ambush! Between mountain pastures and forest, you’ll slalom along a route that’s ideal for apprentice riders, with the perfect dropto have fun while making progress.

You’ve completed your second blue run, you’ll have arrived at Valmorel. Congratulations!
