Stage 1
Start from Valmorel on foot with the Pierrafort gondola lift
Stage 2
At the top of Pierrafort, continue to go uptransa by taking the Mottet chairlift.
Stage 3
Here you are at an altitude of 2,400 metres, the highest point in Valmorel, accessible by ski lift: the Col du Mottet! Make yourself comfortable on the deckchair and enjoy an unrivalled 360° panoramic view of the Cheval Noir, Niélard, Lauzière, Méribel and the whole valley.
Stage 4
What if this was the Instagrammable spot of the day? On the right, as you come out of the chairlift, you can see a red chairlift seat – it’s the first photopoint of the day!

Stage 5
Get ready for the descent! For 5 minutes, you’ll enjoy an exceptional view of the Valmorel ski area and the whole valley, with the added bonus of Mont Blanc in the background.
Stage 6
At the bottom of the Mottet chairlift, take the Pierrafort gondola down to Valmorel.
Change sector and head for the Planchamp gondola.
Stage 7
At the top of the Planchamp gondola, discover the newest activity in the Valmorel ski area: Snowtubing! Two secure slopes, buoys, 45km/h on the clock, with friends or family, sliding and fun guaranteed.
Stage 8
Fancy a hot chocolate break after all that thrills?
Enjoy the sunny terrace at Les Voiles du Nant for a moment of relaxation in the heart of the ski area. Accessible to skiers and pedestrians alike, it’s the perfect meeting point for all the family!
Stage 9
If you have children, or grandchildren, head for the Pirates’ Village!
A fun play area for young adventurers (aged 2 and over). There is a host of facilities, including a pirate castle and slides, to keep the little ones happy.
And for older children? Come and soak up the sun on the deckchairs, or eat at the picnic tables in a unique setting.
Stage 10
Then it is on to the famous Balcons de l’Arnouillaz walk, with its 5km, 2.30 hour walk and 300 metres of ascending elevation.
This groomed and safe trail can be done with or without snowshoes, whichever you prefer! Between the 3 emblematic peaks of Valmorel, Crêve-tête, Niélard and Cheval Noir, a breathtaking spectacle awaits you. This sublime walk has no difficulty and is graded blue.
Stage 11
Blue skies, white snow – the perfect landscape for a photo shoot! Make your way to the top of the Biollène chairlift, where you will recognise the second photo point.
A new souvenir and off you go again along the signposted route.
Stage 12
The walk has already come to an end! At the top of the Lanchettes chairlift, you can now enjoy a last drink in the sun on the terrace of the Vache Orange or head back down the mountain on the Lanchettes chairlift.
For the more courageous, you can finish the walk back to the resort!
