At Valmorel, you can learn to ski and discover the joys of the snow and the mountains with your family thanks to the Pirate Adventure play areas!
Real live attractions are available in a totally safe environment in our various fun areas, designed for all ages and all ski levels.
At the heart of the Valmorel ski area, you will find the Pirate Village, a huge, safe area for children from 2 to 10 years old, and a great meeting point for all the family!
The Pirate Castle is situated in a playground full of attractions: slides, a giant “spider” course, a turnstile, secret passages, a “snowball” wall.
Captain Crozet is in charge of the Village, which is open from Monday & Wednesday afternoon, and he arranges Pirate challenges, treasure hunts and other fun things to do!
The Pirate Village can be also be accessed by adults and young children on foot via the Altispace chairlift. It’s a super meeting point for a picnic, with
free deckchairs and picnic-tables in one of the sunniest spots in Valmorel!

Ski touring offers another way to experience the real mountain landscape through a blend of physical effort and endless contemplation of this pristine white world.
A good level of on-piste ski technique is required for this activity.
The Valmorel Club des Sports offers you a ski touring route, called Le Toboggan, to get you started.
Access to the ski touring route is strictly forbidden before 9am and after 7pm (owing to risk of collision with piste-basher or winch cables, or danger of triggering avalanches…). This ski touring itinerary is exclusively reserved for the ascent. The descent is via the “Les Traverses” piste.
