In the Valmorel Ski Area, learn to ski and discover the joys of the snow and the mountains with your family thanks to the 11 Pirates Adventure play areas! Live attractive experiences in complete safety through our different fun areas, designed for all ages and all ski levels.
Pirate Village, in the heart of the ski area, is a huge area for children from 2 to 10 years old, and a great meeting point for all the family!
The Pirates Castle is situated in a playground full of attractions: slides, a giant “spider” course, a turnstile, secret passages, a “snowball” wall.
Captain Crozet is in charge of the Village, which is open from Sunday – Thursday, and he arranges Pirate challenges and treasure hunts.
The Pirate Village can be also be accessed by adults and young children on foot via the Altispace chairlift. It’s a super meeting point for a picnic, with free deckchairs and picnic-tables in one of the sunniest spots in Valmorel!
2 Pirate Snowparks
XS & S levels: Arnouillaz area
Perfect for getting your bearings in a very easy and fun freestyle area. Also in the Arnouillaz area, parallel to the Combe de Beaudin piste, with modules up to 20 cm high.
In this park, you’ll find :
– 1 line of 4 jumps
– 1 line of XS boxes with 1 flat box, an up-flat-descent box, 2 rainbows and an uphill box.
The XS & S level snowpark is 300m long.
M level: Arnouillaz area
This is Valmorel’s spot for intermediate and experienced riders! It offers M lines that let you express yourself and perfect your tricks on the various modules.
Try out these modules :
– 1 slopestyle line with an uphill flat box, 4 kickers from 6 – 8m long and an uphill T-box.
– 1 jib line with 1 straight box, 1 wave, a “surprise” module, a downhill box and a table with a bonk!
The M level snowpark is 400 m long.
Both snowparks are accessible from the Altispace chairlift.
The pirates path
Blue piste level
Near the Pierrafort gondola lift, the Pirate Path is an easy fun route for the whole family, with obstacles, bells and effigies of our favourite Pirates!
2 boardercross Tracks
S level (blue): Arnouillaz area
Underneath the Biollène chairlift, people can compete in together, through the skull and crossbones gates: whoops, sharp bends and the final schuss to victory!
S level (blue): Doucy area
In the Doucy sector, accessible from the Charmettes lift, this is a track dedicated to raised-turns addicts, but totally safe. Try it out with the whole family!

Doucy Ski Area – Very easy level
Discover another form of gliding between effort and contemplation of the landscape through this ski touring route. The mountain in its most pristine state is offered to you! Skiing technique on piste is essential for this practice.
The Valmorel Club des Sports offers you its route to guide you in your practice:
Access to the ski touring route before 9am and after 7pm is strictly forbidden to any user (risk of collision with a snow groomer or its winch cable, triggering of avalanches…). This itinerary is exclusively reserved for the ascent. The descent is via the “Les Traverses” downhill ski run.
