This summer, Valmorel is expanding its mountain biking offer with a new beginners’ area at the top of the Planchamp gondola, where you can learn to ride in complete safety. This specially-designed area offers fun, progressive routes for learning the basics of riding.

For the 2025 summer season, Valmorel opens its doors in a stunning natural setting in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley.

 

Whether you’re into downhill MTB (DH), enduro, or cross-country, there’s something for everyone—beginners and seasoned riders alike can explore the trails at their own pace and in complete safety.

 

With 33 marked trails covering over 365 km, Valmorel offers a vast playground where your imagination can run wild.

Valmorel Bike Park – Highlights

5 disciplines : downhill (DH), Enduro, Cross-country (XC), Electric-assisted mountain biking (EMTB) and Pumptrack.

 

Marked Trail Breakdown :
➤ Cross-country (XC): 1 green / 3 blue / 2 red / 2 black
➤ Enduro: 2 green / 2 blue / 4 red
➤ Downhill (DH): 2 green / 2 blue / 1 red / 1 black

 

One exceptional biking area with 365 km of marked and secure trails, maintained by passionate professionals, crossing 4 scenic valleys: Isère, Morel, Nâves, and Eau Rousse.

 

Bike Facilities:

-1 beginner’s area in Valmorel

-1 Pumptrack zone in Bellecombe

5 accessible lifts for bike transport

-2 MTB schools in Valmorel offering guided tours throughout the territory

-MTB rentals available in the resort

Free MTB shuttle service (valley ↔ resort) in July & August

-2 free bike wash stations: Valmorel & Doucy Station

Children under 1m25 must be accompanied by an adult to board a chairlift.
Dogs are allowed on the lifts, but must be harnessed and muzzled for category 1 and 2 dogs.
In the event of thunderstorms, the ski lifts may close without notice.
